After working for some of the most prominent and established firms over the last 27 years, Mark decided it was time to establish a new firm dedicated to service first client management with intimate involvement in project planning and execution. Mark was extremely successful in his career reaching a point where he was responsible for managing the San Antonio office for a global design firm. However, Mark felt that he was losing grasp of the principles he found to be so critical to his success. The amount of work and staff he was responsible to manage limited his involvement in projects and client contact. This led to the concept of “fewer projects done well”. Balanced Site Design, LLC is founded on the premise that we will take on projects where we have the expertise to successfully execute a project while providing exceptional service to the client. After all, we believe if you don’t take care of your client, someone else will!

Houston, Texas, March 1992 – May 1995
Worked as a staff engineer primarily on single family development projects for Centex providing engineering support for Municipal Utility Districts and design on a few commercial projects.

Bury Inc.
(also Bury + Pittman Inc. and Bury + Partners Inc.)
Austin/San Antonio, Texas, June 1995 – March 2016
Started as an EIT in the Austin office supporting the HEB team. Shortly after starting, assisted company with establishing office in San Antonio starting in December 1995. Mark received his license to practice engineering in 1997. Mark became a Principal with the firm in 2000. During the 21 years with the firm Mark was responsible for managing project teams in the execution of various private land development projects.

Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
San Antonio, Texas, March 2016 -March 2019
Reached the level of Senior Principal assisting with managing the San Antonio office for Community Development managing key accounts HEB Grocery and Chick-fil-A Restaurants as well as teaming with a variety of other private land development clients and consultant teams.
